Every day stray dogs enter over-crowded, high-kill shelters. Their lives once they enter those shelters last maybe one or two weeks. If they are not adopted in that time frame, they are euthanized. This would have been the case for a young pup named Charlie.
Charlie was found on the side of the road in Los Angeles. His hair was in painful burrs and he was dirty, make him, unfortunately, not exactly the kind of dog many want to take home. Charlie was taken to a dog groomer, who removed the painful hair, washed him and combed him. Charlie looked like a completely different dog. What happens after his trip to the groomers with fill you with joy and remind you that all dogs deserve a second chance.
