How many times have you wished that you could read your dog’s mind, or know your cats meows fluently? Probably everyday.
Well now, you can kind of, sort of, do that. PetPace created a smart collar that goes around your dog or cat‘s neck and gives you real-time information on how they’re doing. For example, it monitors your pet’s temperature, pulse, calorie intake, respiration, and even what position they are sitting in! What’s even more amazing is that the collar will send alerts to your phone if it senses there is a cause for concern. Prettttyyy cool if you ask us. So how does all of this work? Well, it’s basically just because of sensors in the collar that allow your smart phone to receive updates.
The collar itself costs around $150, plus there is an annual subscription fee of $180. But in reality, that’s a pretty small price to pay, especially if the collar really works, and apparently it does. CBS Local in Boston met a woman who was testing out the product on her dog, and apparently noticed a spike in her pup’s respiration when he got excited.
