Tips for Apartment Dog Living
When living in an apartment with a dog, the rules and regulations are much more limited than if you lived in your own home with a yard. The new pet needs to be acclimated slowly to the new surroundings. When doing so, spend as much time with your dog as possible since a new living space can be scary for the pet. Provide a secure, safe spot for your dog with proper lighting.
Once you are established in the home with your pet, it is always critical to developing a special routine for feedings, outdoor activities, and indoor playtimes. If you are gone for extended periods of time throughout the day, you may want to consider hiring a dog walker to ensure your pet gets appropriate exercise. The important thing for you and your pet is that you can co-exist comfortably in a smaller space. Living in an apartment, you can have more opportunities to bond and enjoy each other’s company.
